MESSAGE FROM SISTER WEAVER

Parents,

Girls camp registration forms went home with your daughters this past Sunday. Please take time to fill them out and return them asap.  I need to get them to the Stake leaders by May 1, which doesn't leave us much time.  Also, after looking at our Ward Camp Budget & discussing this with the Bishop, we will NOT hold a fundraiser @ this time.  Your cost for each girl you will be sending to camp is $10.  The remaining amount will be paid from our budget.  Please pay your $10 on a tithing donation slip under the other category indicating that it is camp registration fee for...(your daughters name :) .  We will most likely hold a fundraiser in the fall to get a jump start on next year's camp & other activites that are in the works.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Tonya

WITH MUCH LOVE, SISTER WEAVER

Girls,

I wanted to give you some dates for your calendar.

MARCH

12- Stake Youth Dance 7-10pm
26- Youth Temple Trip WE NEED DRIVERS - we as leaders cannot transport all of our youth.  Please let us know if you can help.  If we don't get enough volunteers, we will call and ask for help.  We will meet at the stake center at 6:45am and anticipate returning around 1:00.  The YM President, Bishop and myself are discussing the possiblity of providing some type of the lunch for the youth afterwards.  We are sure they will be very hungry by the time we are finished in the temple.
26- General YW broadcast for mothers and daughters.  8pm at Mill Creek Bldg
29- NO Activity

APRIL

5- Dress Rehearsal for Ward Talent Show
9- Ward talent show - sponsered by YW
16- R.A.D. (Regional Activity Day)- 14&up 1:00-9:30pm at Frederick Stake Center - Registration form required.  These went home with the girls this Sunday and I need them returned by next Sunday.  We will need at least 1 additional driver if all MiaMaids and Laurels are attending.
19- Spring Break- no activity

MAY

10- Stake Conf Week - no activity
12- RS sponsered 1st Aide/CPR - YW are invited to attend.  Good refresher before camp!!

OTHER IMPORTANT INFO.

TREK Registration Forms - please have them filled out and returned as soon as you can.  The sooner we get these to the stake the better.  We also need to be thinking about making bonnets/dresses/pantaloons for the girls.  Please let me know if you have talent in this area and can help out with this task.  I can barely thread a sewing machine (not kidding) so this is way outside my comfort zone.  We are blessed to have Jennifer Merrill in the YW program and I am told she is a sewing whiz but we will need parent help to pull this off.  :)

Girls Camp - We just received a flyer last Sunday with information about Girls Camp.  It will be held at Camp Eder in Pennsylvania.  The cost is $50.  We were under the impression that camp was the standard $25 registration fee and therefore were not planning on a fundraiser.  But with the increase we feel all could benefit from some type of fundraiser.  We will be discussing this week as a presidency what this could be however, if you have any great ideas we would invited them.

That's all I can think of right now and I'm sure that once I hit the send button I will think of something I forgot :).  Please let me know if you have any questions or if you can help out with the areas mentioned.

With much love,

Sis. Weaver
